Why Light Colors Are Better for Cars

A light car color is better than a dark one for several reasons.

A light color such as white or silver reflects more sunlight than a dark color such as black or dark blue. This means a light-colored car heats up less in direct sun. In addition, a light color offers better protection against UV rays, which is especially important in hot regions. A dark color, on the other hand, absorbs more sunlight and therefore heats up faster, which can lead to higher temperatures inside the car, especially in summer.

A light color is also easier to see on the road, especially in poor visibility or after dark. This can improve road safety. A light-colored car is simply easier to spot, particularly compared with a dark car, which can blend into its surroundings in poor visibility.

On top of that, scratches and scuffs are less noticeable on a light-colored car. This can be especially useful if you live in an area with bad roads, since scratches and scuffs tend to stand out more on a dark color.
